Jonas Salk believed that it is possible to create an epidemic of health and what Bill Moyers termed “the science of hope” by evoking from each of us vitality and engagement. Heather Wood Ion worked with Dr. Salk for the last seven years of his life on the methods to establish a grassroots movement toward an epidemic of health. She will examine how generosity impacts health, what nurtures us, and what we do to make our lives fulfilling.
