Enjoy the sounds of percussionist and composer Nick Hennies as he performs music from his forthcoming album, “Psalms,” as well as “Objects,” a new work dedicated to the exhibition Tara Donovan: Untitled and composed especially for this installation.
When: Saturday, July 31 » 2 pm and 4 pm
Where: Indianapolis Museum of Art, Clowes Gallery in Wood Pavilion 4000 Michigan Road Indianapolis
Drawing connections to Donovan’s work, Hennies’ piece makes seemingly familiar sounds become strange and new. Austin, Texas-based Hennies is interested in redefining and repurposing the role of common percussion instruments through repetition, meditation, and immersion. He performs with The Weird Weeds, the Austin New Music Co-op and as a soloist.
This performance is included with Tara Donovan: Untitled exhibition admission.
