The Confluence of Religion and Politics
Â
International Interfaith Initiative’s Fall Conference
Oct. 8-9, 2009 at the Indiana War Memorial
featuring a keynote conversation with
Honorable Lee and Reverend Richard Hamilton
Â
At a time when many international and domestic conflicts seem driven by religious differences, the concept “interfaith” appeals to many as a way of finding common ground. International Interfaith Initiative (III) believes that when our faith motivates us to come together in open dialogue and an honest effort to find solutions to common problems, adherents of differing religious traditions can discover answers that none of them would have imagined alone. The conference will begin with a forum led by Jay Hein and Scott Appleby and end with a focus on the Iraqi refugee crisis and a discussion led by the president of the Middle East Institute, Ambassador Wendy Chamberlin. Read more at www.internationanlinterfaith.org
